Appointment of Deputy Headmaster

The Board of Governors for St. Ignatius College is happy to announce the appointment of Mr. Hatrick Chiwanda as the substantive Deputy Headmaster of St. Ignatius College with effect from 1 January 2021.

Mr. Chiwanda holds a Bachelor of Education degree in Geography from the University of Zimbabwe and a Diploma in Education from Mutare Teachers’ College. He is an educationist with more than 22 years of experience in teaching and administration in secondary schools.

Mr. Chiwanda joins St Ignatius College from St. Dominic’s Secondary School – Chishawasha where he has spent close to two decades teaching and for the past three years as the Acting Headmaster.

The Board congratulates Mr. Chiwanda on his appointment as deputy headmaster. Mr. Chiwanda has our best wishes as he joins the team to lead the College in implementing its strategic plan in line with 21st Century teaching and learning trends.
The College expresses a huge debt of gratitude to Mrs Ndaiziwei Mugadza who has been acting deputy headmaster since 01 January 2020 and will remain in that position until 31 December 2020. We wish Mrs Mugadza well as she continues to be an educationist in different roles at the College.
