On behalf of the Prestage Trust, I am happy to announce the appointment of Mr Tafadzwa Chinamo (class of 1988) as chairperson of the Board of Governors of St Ignatius College with effect from 25th March 2021.
This appointment is in accordance with Article 3.5 of the new constitution of the Board of Governors which reads:
‘The Chairperson of the Board shall be appointed by the Prestage Trust and the Rector shall be the Deputy Chairperson.’
Mr Chinamo is the Chief Executive Officer of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe. He has previously worked as the Managing Director of Zimnat Asset Management from 2006 to 2010, he was the Managing Director for Kingdom Asset Management from 2001 to 2006.
Mr Chinamo was a pupil at St Ignatius College from 1983 to 1988. He graduated from the University of Zimbabwe with a BSc Honours in Statistics and he holds a Master of Science Leadership and Change Management degree from Leeds Metropolitan University.
