2022-2023 Prefecture announced

Excitement gripped the pupils as one by one, the 2022-2023 prefects were called to the podium. Pomp and applause erupted as each name was called out, confirming the speculations and conspiracies that had been shared among the lads. Performance and potential rewarded, there were, of course, a few disappointments from those that had been at their best behavior since the first term. Regardless, they cheered on their friends, brothers and sisters that would become College stewards for the coming year.

Addressing the learners, Headmaster, Hamilton Maganga urged the incoming team to commit their service to the greater glory of God.

“Congratulations to the incoming prefecture. You were handpicked for the latent leadership talent that domiciles in you, we hope this opportunity will allow you to fully explore and develop this talent into full bloom, for the benefit of your peers and the College at large.

“The bar has been set very high by the outgoing prefecture, please take these last remaining months to learn as much as you can from this group of accomplished leaders. We have full confidence in your abilities and look forward to your tenure with zest. As you begin this transformative journey, be reminded of the noble AMDG Jesuit adage which should guide you accordingly,” he said.

The head expressed his gratitude to the outgoing prefecture for serving with dignity and distinction in the face of challenges, chief among them, the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Your tenure was a particularly difficult one owing to the COVID-19 scourge that ballooned your responsibilities. However, I believe the experience was immensely beneficial to your personalities as you are now astute crisis management graduates. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors, please continue to conscientiously serve with compassion, commitment, and competence as you demonstrated in the duration of your tenure,” he said.
