The search for excellence and depth in teaching and learning is shaped by a Catholic vision of life. The school strives to be relevant to and welcoming to all persons, irrespective of race, culture or religion. It welcomes teachers, parents and learners who may not be Catholic but who respect the Catholic ethos and seek its values. A student who has passed through St Ignatius College should have acquired the following 4Cs: Competence, Compassion, Conscience, Christianity

What We Learn and How We Learn

The College’s values based learning, derived from Jesuit Education and Ethos, seeks to create experiences that stretch the intellect and imagination of students in order to be able to solve real world problems. The College has fully embraced modern teaching and learning methods and resources including personalised, project-based and research based learning and continuous assessment facilitated by appropriate technologies. Subjects on offer from Form 1 provide a variety of course pathways determined by the school, taking into account the learners ability and aptitude as well as relevant exit profiles. St Ignatius College is a Cambridge International registered School and follows the syllabuses of the Cambridge International Board leading to the sitting of IGCSE and Advanced Level Examinations.

Being an avenue through which learners will find an expression of their talents and individuality, sport is treated with the right pride of place with a deliberate effort to excel whilst guided by the ethos of teamwork, honesty and fairness and supported by the right human and technical resources.

St Ignatius College excels in various sporting disciplines resulting in international, national and provincial recognition of our athletes across team and individual disciplines.
Sporting disciplines offered include Athletics, Basketball, Chess, Cross-Country, Handball, Hockey, Netball, Rugby, Soccer, Swimming and Volleyball.

Each student must participate in at least one sport every term.
